
New Jersey Tap Ensemble is New Jersey's first statewide non-profit tap dance company. Founded by professional tap dancer Debra Mitchell in1994, the organization is not a school for tap dance, but a company with a mission to preserve and perpetuate the art form of rhythm tap dancing.
The mission is fulfilled through the development of new tap works, concert performances, community outreach and programs in arts education.
